Our Research
We currently have a number of different neuroimaging and behavioral projects in the lab focusing on self-evaluation and self-disclosure; social influences on learning and decision-making; self-regulation, goals, and values; as well as adversity and well-being. We are very interested in particularly dynamic phases of adolescence such as puberty, as well as the transitions surrounding entering and leaving middle school, high school, and/or college.
We are also wrapping up the fifth wave and entering the sixth wave of a longitudinal prospective neuroimaging study of neural, hormonal, and other biological (immune, microbiome) changes in girls during the transition to adolescence, with a particular emphasis on how these changes relate to changes in social processes and mental health.
