Christopher Machle, B.A.
Doctoral Student, Department of Psychology
Christopher is a developmental psychology PhD student in the DSN Lab. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2020 with a B.A. in Cognitive Science and a minor in Linguistics. While at UC Berkeley, he worked in the Wilbrecht Lab, where he investigated decision-making circuits involved in action selection and choice rejection. His research interests now include understanding the neural mechanisms underlying the development of affective disorders during adolescence. He is particularly passionate about research that translates findings into accessible and scalable solutions for mental health challenges. In his free time, he enjoys climbing, mountain biking, and getting lost in the trees.
