Sam Chavez, M.S.

Data Analyst

Sam is a Data Analyst in the DSN Lab. She graduated from Dartmouth College in 2012 with a dual-degree AB in Psychological & Brain Sciences and Political Theory and Public Law. Following graduation, she managed an affective neuroscience laboratory from 2012-2015. She then completed an MS in Epidemiology, with a specialization in Biostatistics, at The Ohio State University in their College of Public Health in 2017. Sam is interested in herself, in yourself, and in THE SELF, broadly defined. She is interested in the structure, function, and development of the self, and the behavioral manifestations, neural substrates, and clinical implications thereof. She’s kind of a nerd, but with impeccable fashion sense. If you spot Sam in the wild (an academic conference), she will be wearing a headband with an obnoxiously large bow. Always. She enjoys the same hobbies as your grandmother: knitting, scrabble, hate-watching the news, and nursing a stiff Tom Collins. A previous employer gave her the following review: “High maintenance, but worth it.”
