Ava Reck, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Scholar

Ava Reck is a postdoctoral scholar at the Center for Translational Neuroscience. She earned her Ph.D. in Human Development with certifications in Quantitative Methodology and Translational Science from the University of Georgia in 2024. Her research, guided by a developmental psychopathology perspective, employs multi-level and multi-modal methods to investigate the long-term effects of social and structural adversity on neural function and psychopathology during adolescence. She also explores how families, communities, and policies can reduce exposure to adversity and foster resilience, translating research into meaningful, actionable change. In her free time, she enjoys camping, painting, and spending time with her two cats.
